TU Delft joins Hindawi’s Institutional Membership program

We’re very pleased to announce today that Hindawi has signed a new membership agreement with the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts, where the corresponding author is affiliated with TU Delft, will now be funded directly by the university. APCs funded in this way will also be discounted by 10%.

The central funding of APCs allows for a more streamlined experience for authors from Delft when publishing in Hindawi journals. Providing the eligibility requirements are met, no additional steps are required on the author’s part; they simply need to ensure that their affiliation to TU Delft is stated at the time of submission. The invoicing and payment process will be handled automatically by Hindawi staff, with the team at TU Delft having full oversight of the manuscript metadata for monitoring and approval purposes. The agreement will come into effect on April 1st 2018.

Removing barriers and reducing friction in the Open Access publishing process are both key priorities for Hindawi, and it’s exciting to be able to collaborate with a leading institution, such as TU Delft, on the expansion of our Institutional Membership program. It’s also very positive to be building relationships with Dutch institutions, given the Netherlands’ forward-looking attitude towards Open Access.

Just de Leeuwe from TU Delft commented:

Open access publishing on fair conditions is part of TU Delft's ambition as part of our Open Science program. Publishing partners such as Hindawi will help us to achieve this ambition. Click To Tweet

As with other institutions, a summary of TU Delft’s research output can be found on its institutional page on Hindawi.com. More information about Hindawi’s Institutional Membership program can be found here. In addition, Hindawi recently made its automatic repository deposit service (via SWORD) freely available to all institutions. More details of this service can be found here.
